The newly renovated College Park Plaza in Arlington was the location for The “Backpacks 4 Success” back to school giveaway hosted by Suited for Success and the Catherine Alfred Foundation. Event founders Shara Mondy and Angela Chambliss were in attendance providing key resources and information to the families present. The distributed 75 book bags held notebooks, paper, pens, hand sanitizer, antibacterial wet wipes, mini travel toothbrushes that can be used at school or on-the-go.

“Our community partnership allows Suited For Success to continue to give back to the community and families we serve,” said organizer Shara Mondy.

More than 30 families received the book bags, perused vendor booths, while volunteers worked hard to sort and evenly distribute the supplies. The Catherine Alfred Foundation nonprofit program for teenage parents focuses on providing personal development, goal setting, parenting skills, economic self sufficiency and free baby items.

For 20 years, Suited 4 Success has been providing free business attire, job readiness and coaching to men and women in Northeast Florida. The two nonprofits share space in the College Park plaza and are open Mon – Friday, 9 – 5 p.m., for families and individuals in need of assistance to peruse their showroom for free items for mothers, babies, men and women searching for clothes items for job interviews, church attire and homeless patrons returning to the workforce.  For more information about Suited For Success visit our website www.suited4success.com.
