Legendary rap mogul and businessman Percy Miller also known as “MasterP” was in town this weekend for his “Balling for a Cause Leadership and Skills Camp” at Atlantic Coast High School. The free public event was attended by hundreds of youth eager to meet the rapper and align themselves with his team. The event is designed to bring children and their families together with celebrities to share the importance of “balling for a cause” on and off the court, in and out of the classroom and back into our communities as outstanding citizens.
Attendees enjoyed lunch and a game of one on one with MasterP and a basketball game that paired boys and girls on teams to shoot hoops for the winning score.
“This is not just about basketball this is about life and that there’s life after sports and education is the key. We want the kids to know that education is important, hooping can only get you so far,” said MasterP.
