Prudence Williams Named Social Worker of the Year

Prudence Williams

 Prudence Williams has earned the highest honor for the Stat e of Florida by being named “Florida Chapter Social Worker of the Year.” She obtained a Master’s in Social Worker from the prestigious Florida State University School of Social Work. Her work experience has enabled her to be in touch with people from all walks of life enriching the lives of those involved in the criminal justice system, welfare programs, adoptions, housing assistance, and family engagement.

She is currently working with the Department of Health supervising staff who have traumatic brain injuries. As a member of the National Association of Social Worker, she has served as the Chair of the Social Worker of the Year Committee, Legislative, and Social Justice Committee. She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Orange Park Church of Christ. Her award will be presented to her at the National Association of Social Worker Conference in Orlando, Florida on June 8, at the Florida Hotel.
