Kipp School Secures Technology Certifications for Higher Education Options

KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at KIPP Bold City High School to unveil its new cutting-edge Cybersecurity Room. This significant event was made possible through a collaborative effort with leading organizations: FIS, The Jim and Tabitha Furyk Foundation, and the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.

Leaders from each organization were present to share their insights on the impact of this initiative. The ceremony highlighted the commitment of KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools to its mission of creating joyful, academically excellent schools that prepare students with the skills and confidence to pursue their chosen paths be it college, career, or beyond.  The partnership between these organizations reflects a shared commitment to providing the students of Jacksonville with the resources and support they need to excel.

The Cybersecurity Room boasts state-of-the-art technology, featuring over 25 seats and dedicated breakout rooms, designed to empower students with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity. The hi-tech classroom also enhances the environment for students to complete a two-year cybersecurity curriculum, resulting in students earning a certification that can open doors to potential cyber opportunities.
