Zora Fest Still Draws Arts Lovers to Eatonville

The 2025 Zora Neale Hurston Festival of the Arts and Humanities was in full swing last weekend in Eatonville, Florida celebrating the life and legacy of the acclaimed author and anthropologist. The annual event, commonly known as the Zora Fest, brings together food, music, and local talent while highlighting Black culture, history and the arts. Held in the historic town of Eatonville, recognized as the oldest incorporated Black municipality  in the United States – the festival pays tribute to Hurstons’ impact on literature and her deep ties to the community.
