
Saturday, February 1st, a new chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction (TLOD) was chartered in Jacksonville, Florida. TLOD is a 501 ©3 organization focused on community service. Under the banner of “Top Teens of America,” their primary focus is on enhancing the life of teens and the betterment of all people through service by encouraging, promoting and extending activitie.
The chartering weekend began with a bonding activity on Friday evening with the 10th National President, Lady Eddie Lee Marsh of Savannah, GA and the National Area 4 Director, Lady Dorothy Buckhanan Wilson. On Saturday, the 31 Ladies were inducted into the organization and the Duval County Chapter was chartered.
The installed officers of the chapter included Nikki Torian as President; Kenoya Smith as 1st Vice President; Chapter Organizer, LaToya Walker as 2nd Vice President; and Miesha Agee as the Top Teens Advisor.
“Now that this chapter has been established, Jacksonville will see that these Ladies represent a cross-section of resourceful woman of power, all of whom work in the interest of Teens, Seniors, and the beautification of the community along with establishing partnerships to improve the community,” remarked incoming president Nikki Torian.
TLOD has over 125 chapters across the United States and currently has a membership of over 7,500 and approximately 3,400 Teens.
