Last week, individuals and couples around the U.S. celebrated Valentine’s Day. Locally, Bou’Tique 3:16 held their inaugural Valentine’s “Paint in the Name of Love Dinner and Paint Party,” this past Saturday at the boutiques location on Beach Blvd.
Promising an evening of love, food and fun, the night featured fine dining, dancing, canvas painting and much laughter. Fifteen couples happily chose a canvas to paint for their partner as the event activities centered on painting and creative expression.
Boutique owner Tonya Holified was excited to host her first paint party with friends and family. “This was a night filled with joy and happiness. The couples were enthusiastic to paint tapestry to represent their love,” she said.
The menu for the evening featured tapas by Chef Nina Bryant, while DJ Ro held the couple’s captive with old school music as couples were encouraged to dance. Saxophonist Pieree Kendrick serenaded the couples and even paused to share a love dance with his wife.
Paint instructor Rachel Darnecia, held the couples accountable for their painting theme and encouraged guest that each painting would be a work of art. Up next is Boutique 3:16’s grand re-opening scheduled for March 16th.
