The Waves Brings Affordable Housing to Jacksonville Beach

The Jacksonville Housing Authority (JHA) celebrated the grand opening of a new affordable housing complex, The Waves, at Jacksonville Beach.  The new housing community includes 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom units.  Programs include Family Self-Sufficiency Programs (FSS), Senior ServicesNeighborhood Network Center, Family Unification Program, Family Support, JobsPlus Program, and the HICKS Prep Club & Scholarship.
“The Waves at Jacksonville Beach will increase the availability of high quality, safe, affordable housing at the Beaches,” said JHA’s interim CEO Dwayne Alexander. “We are proud of this project and the opportunity to serve residents throughout Jacksonville.”
Since 1994, Jacksonville Housing has provided housing assistance for families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities in Duval, Clay, St. Johns, and Nassau counties. Their mission is to provide safe, clean, affordable housing and effective social services to low- and moderate-income families and individuals.
