Recently, The River City Pearls (RCP), an interest group of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., collected and assembled nearly 200 bags of fresh fruit that was delivered to senior citizens in their target area of the Southside of Jacksonville through Meals on Wheels. The members of the group conducted a contactless drop off for their members and others. The bags contained apples, oranges, tangerines, mandarin oranges, lemons, limes, pears, and bananas to help combat food deserts.
