Joe and The Rockettes Line Dancers celebrated the onset of the holidays with a Celebration Luncheon at Titus Harvest Dome Ministries. With only five members in tow, Joe and The Rockettes Line Dancers were founded January 5, 2000, by Mr. Joseph Simmons. Simmons, an avid dancer, recently passed away in September. Twenty-four years later, the dancing troupe has grown to more than 50 members dancing at various engagements ranging in age from 60 to 95 years old. The eldest active member is 95 years old, Ms. Eloise Machado and the current dance instructors are Lois Juluke and Sylvia Briley. In addition to giving through program involvement, they participate in many community activities. “Our motto is no stress and all fun,” said member Sylvia S. Briley. The troupe will be celebrating their 25th Anniversary on January 5, 2025. Shown are the dancers ready to boogie the evening away at their holiday dinner.
