Local teacher Finding Comfort and Providing Solace Through the Release of Her Music

Melissa Case

By day, Melissa Case is an instructional ready coach for Duval County Public School System (DCPS).  At night, she is a wife and mother of two boys who are the center of her world. Somewhere in the middle of it all, the talented multi-tasker is also a actress, singer and songwriting!

The 1997 grasute of Wolfson High School has been singing since the age of three and acting since her pre-teens.  Naturally charismatic, she can be described as a bright and colorful personality who lights up the room with her contagious smile and optimistic outlook on life.  She comes alive when she hits the stage in any capacity; her eyes light up and her passion radiates as she contacts with the audience. A star on the rise, Melissa has graced the stage in local productions such as “Sisters Act II,” “The Color Purple,” and “The Five Heartbeats,” she has also performed in many original stage plays such as “Not in My house,” and “Wedlocked,” just to name a few.  She recently released her debut CD, entitled “Good Vibes,” and her second single “I Am Me!” Describing the track as a neosoul sound, the CD is smooth. her growing fan base finds comfort in her talents especially during the quarantine time.
