Foundation Opens Doors to Train Ages 1 to 100 How to Swim

The Delifus Foundation is ready, set, go to continue its mission of saving young Black Children from drowning.  Their multitude of trainings include  life guard training and certifications, CPR, nutrition, parenting skills, water safety to underserved communities.

Since 2006, the foundation has assisted hundreds of youth to be trained as successful swimmers. The foundation recently held an open house for families to encourage them to register for a beginners class for ages 6 months to 99 years.

The Delifus Foundation is named after the late Shawn Delifus.  As a swimming coach, Delifus coached swimmers at all levels, from beginners to some of the nation’s top elite athletes. All of the foundations’ services are offered free of charge to the community and is headquartered at the YMCA
