Eastside Brotherhood Invest in the Future

A scholarship ceremony was held by the Eastside Brotherhood to celebrate the academic success of six local students. Achieving a grade point averages (GPA) of 3.5 or higher, The funds willbe uses to help them continue their education at a college or university of their choice.  “I am honored and overjoyed to receive this recognition” he said, “I am determined, disciplined, and driven to continue achieving academic success in the classroom and beyond,” said recipient Wren King.   Each scholarship recipient was presented with a treasure box filled with “Pearls of Wisdom” from their own diverse experiences and a $500 check to help pay for their tuition and other educational expenses.

The Eastside Brotherhood is a local non-profit organization dedicated to promoting education and community development. The scholarship program is just one of the ways in which they seek to support young people in the community.  For the past two years, through their spring annual application process, the brotherhood has distributed more than 4k to deserving students in Duval County.
