Customer Appreciation Week Promotes Northisde Barbershop Pride
The Main Cut Barbershop was full with patrons, family and friends this past weekend inside their shop near River City Marketplace. The barbershop held a small business and customer appreciation week of activities with vendors, food and speakers. Each day was a themed event from Martini Mondays to Taco Tuesdays, the weekend culminated with ‘Soul-Food Saturday,’ recognizing entrepreneurs with a soul food lunch.
Author Jennifer Brooks was on the scene to support the event and speak on mental health symptoms, while owner Daryl and Dr. Anissa Hill remarked, “We wanted to celebrate our customers all week long. We have to give back to our community and as a shop that caters to everyday people, we will not stop, won’t stop giving back,” said Hill. During the event patrons had the opportunity to have their hair cuts and hair styled for Easter Sunday. Shown in front of the shop is Seacoast Charter Academy student and entrepreneur Raven Scott, age 8, founder of RaveKidd fashions with customer Lisa Brayfield.
