Breast Cancer Gala Celebrates Survivor with Exercise and Survivor Healthy Techniques

As October is breast cancer awareness month, the James Weldon Johnson YMCA held their 7th Annual Zumba Gala in Pink to remind members and the community that breast cancer is a treatable disease, held inside the gym of the Northside location, the annual event brings awareness to the African American community for women to create a bond to openly discuss breast health with their family, friends, or colleagues.  Over 250+ participants helped raise over $2500 for research and donations to breast cancer survivors.  Shown are participants dressed in their pink exercise garb, attendees took part in a day long workout of Zumba and calisthenics.
