Breast Cancer Gala Celebrates Survivor with Exercise and Survivor Healthy Techniques

As October is breast cancer awareness month, the James Weldon Johnson YMCA held their 7^th Annual Zumba Gala in Pink to remind members and the community that breast cancer is a treatable disease, held inside the gym of the Northside location, the annual event brings awareness to the African American community for women to create a bond to openly discuss breast health with their family, friends, or colleagues.  Over 250+ participants helped raise over $2500 for research and donations to breast cancer survivors.  Shown are participants dressed in their pink exercise garb, attendees took part in a day long workout of Zumba and calisthenics.
