Volunteers from the Jacksonville Chapter of the A. Philip Randolph Institute are getting into the Thanksgiving spirit early by continuing to host the 28th annual Thanksgiving luncheon for Morris Manor Senior Center. The annual event includes with themed activities honoring Mr. Randolph and his history of involvement within the community and the labor movement. Volunteers handed out gift bags and non-perishables along with a hot lunch to all of the residents. Morris Manor has a total of 168 units, all of which are Section 8 assisted living units and is intended for low income, elderly persons.
