AKA’s – October 17, 2015 Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Gamma Rho Omega Chapter, Incorporated supported by Nu Iota Chapter of Edward Waters College and Omicron Delta Chapter of Jacksonville University partnered with Feeding Northeast Florida to fight childhood hunger in Jacksonville, Florida. There were 5200 lbs of food sorted, 4396 meals will be distributed to families in Duval and surrounding counties, and seven Schools in Duval County will receive nutritious snack packs. Members of the sorority wore pink and green gloves to help organize, sort and store various food items. Pictured are Chapter members in the warehouse packaging food for childhood hunger.
