The 10th Stanton Alumni Gala was held this past weekend at the Prime Osborn Convention Center. Nearly 700 gathered on Friday night for a fun filled evening of trivia, dancing and heavy hors d’oeuvres. Saturday night was the formal Gala banquet spotlighting the 50 year classes of the Engineers of Stanton Vocational and New Stanton classes of 1966. Additionally, a panel of alumni moderated by Judge Brian Davis (‘70) divulged why their decade at Stanton was the best decade to have attended Stanton. The panelists were Lloyd Pearson (‘39), Eula Mays (’44), Annette Bell (’59), Chauncey Mitchell (’59), and Bernard Life (’72). Approximately 900 were in attendance for the banquet. Chairman Kenneth Reddick recognized members of the Gala Committee and presented a beautiful Bonefish Gift basket to Norma Lang Brown (’54) for her committed service. The revelry lasted for hours. R.
