Volunteers Make It Happen at DUW

Did you know volunteers sort and inventory 95% of the brand new clothing donated to Dignity U Wear?  In 2015, 1,300 volunteers provided over 6,000 hours of people-power at their warehouse in Jacksonville, FL. That’s roughly the equivalent of 3 full-time employees. All those volunteer hours make a huge impact on the work of Dignity U Wear. At Dignity U Wear, the nonprofit focuses on one thing, procuring new clothing and delivering it at the right time to the people for whom it will make the most difference. Most of the clothing distributed is gifts of overstock from generous friends in the apparel industry.  Close to 200 companies donate annually.  Clothing donations include excess inventory, irregulars and samples.  In kind donations of clothing are Dignity U Wear largest resource in fulfilling their mission.
