The finalists are announced, the judges were ready, and the table was set for the five teams of Culinary Arts students at Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) as they  convened at Frank H. Peterson Academies of Technology for a live, in-person cook off to crown a team of “Champions.”
This unique culinary collaboration between DCPS’ Career and Technical Education Department students, THE PLAYERS and TPC Sawgrass, watched the students in action to see who will make it to THE PLAYERS for an exclusive opportunity to support the food and beverage team during THE PLAYERS (March 8-13, 2022).  Each of the five finalist teams prepared and cooked a recipe that will be served at THE PLAYERS in its VIP hospitality experience called THE PLAYERS Club, one of the most exclusive and sought-after hospitality experiences in sport and entertainment, featuring hand-crafted food and beverage offerings from renowned chefs across the country and the world.
The winning team was from Frank H. Peterson Academies of Technology. In addition, each student on the winning team received a $2,250 scholarship should they apply, be accepted and decide to enroll at Florida State College at Jacksonville and received the “Champions” of “Cooking with Champions” crown and  the exclusive opportunity to work with Chefs Azhar and Eric on March 7 at THE PLAYERS Championship.
