Celebrities and Jacksonville community unite to support families tackling childhood cancer | tcjayfund.org| The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund will host its 29th annual Celebrity Golf Classic in partnership with THE PLAYERS on Sunday, May 19, and Monday, May 20, at THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. The event is the foundation upon which the Jay Fund was built and raises essential funds for families navigating the overwhelming financial and emotional burden of caring for a child with cancer.
The Celebrity Golf Classic brings sports enthusiasts together with philanthropic-minded businesses and individuals for two days of socializing and golf. Attendees will have the chance to mingle with celebrities and professional athletes as they learn more about the unique challenges families face when their child is diagnosed with cancer. They will also have an opportunity to hear directly from a family in the midst of treatment. The funds raised will help families keep a roof over their head, food on their table and the lights on in their home as they focus on getting their child well. Our goal is to BE THERE for the family so they can BE THERE for their sick child.
WHEN: The festivities begin on Sunday, May 19, with an exclusive invitation-only dinner and auction featuring athletes and celebrities. Interview and photo availability will commence at 5:45 pm and will conclude promptly at 6:30 pm. Please request your interview in advance. Dinner is closed to the press.
On Monday, May 20, the day begins with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Interview and photo availability will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. only. Please request your interview in advance. Golf Couse is not open to the press or public once the tournament gets underway.
