After a three year absence due to COVID, the Stanton Gala committee representing the alumni of Stanton, New Stanton and Stanton Vocational school, made plans to bring the classes together again. The Gala, the brainchild of Chairman Kenneth Reddick, class of New Stanton ’63, began in 2007. With an average of approximately over 800 attendees per year, the event is a day for alumnae to fellowship, celebrate and remember their schoolmates. Held inside the Hyatt Northbank location, 650 Stantonians attended this years event representing classes from 1939 to 1981.  Friday night’s casual event included a meet and greet, trivia and dance contests.  This year the Gala Committee also honored 101-years old, Lloyd Pearson from the class of 1939, for his loyal and dedicated service to the event.

“I’m looking forward to another fun filled banner year in 2024,” said classmate Ira Willis.
