“Star” Students Awarded $17K in Scholarships

Five college-bound I’m A Star Foundation students will head to school with scholarship money donated by generous community partners.
Scholarship honorees include Myia McLaughlin and Journey Butler ($5500), Robert Jones received ($3750), Johnathan Bell ($1750) and  Malachi White ($500).
I’m A Star Executive Director Betty Seabrook Burney says she is grateful to the donors for investing in the lives of her STARS. She adds, “As a result of their generosity, I’m A Star was able to provide $17,000 in scholarships to five deserving students. During the pandemic these servant leaders worked tirelessly to serve their community and their country. I have no doubt that the scholarship recipients will change the world!”
