“Being a supporter of Trump has put me in some kind of box that I don’t belong in. But he’s not the president,” Dash, 54, said in an interview with Daily Mail.

The former Fox News personality said she’s now done with politics altogether and that she’s willing to give Joe Biden a chance despite her past harsh criticisms of the new president.

“I’ve lived my life being angry, which is what I was on Fox News. I was the angry, conservative, Black woman. And at that time in my life, it was who I was,” Dash said during the interview. “I’m not a victim of anyone. There are things that I am sorry for. Things that I did say that I should not have said them the way I said them. They were very arrogant and prideful and angry. And that’s who Stacey was, but that’s not who Stacey is now. Stacey’s someone who has compassion, empathy.”

Dash, who worked on-air as a paid contributor at Fox News until 2016, infamously drew ire for saying that Black History Month and award shows or television networks that honor the Black community should be done away with.

Dash was suspended from Fox for cursing on air while discussing a speech former President Barack Obama gave on terrorism. Her contract was subsequently not renewed.
