Burton has been on the promotional scene for more than twenty years. He takes pride in his job distributing business, religious, political and concert flyers and placing yard signs throughout Duval, St. Johns, Nassau, Clay and some eastern Georgia counties. His resume includes working for the Jaguars, Pop Warner games, social events, concerts, barber and beauty salons, churches and most political events. You wouldn’t know that bobby’s handicap is his hearing aid, because he can beat you talking and have a flyer in your hand at the same time. His company is named Cat-Poll Distribution with a motto of “we get information into the hands of the consumer,” and that he does. Bobby is known for distributing more than three thousand flyers in a day, placing them on cars, businesses and in the hands of the people.
Self Made Hype Man Makes Marketing His Passion
By Lynn JonesTurpin – When you walk into a store or local eatery and see the event flyers there, do you ever wonder how they got there? Or, just who place that placard on your car window. Like the tooth fairy, you never see how it got there, but you know someone is responsible. There is a good chance that the work was done by Bobby Burton.
He frequently stops by the Free Press office to provide business referrals and assists in keeping the news desk abreast of activities throughout the city. The multi-talented marketer also has a culinary degree and is the proud parent of two children. “I love the Free Press, the staff are always accommodating when I come by. Editor Lynn Jones welcomes me in and we discuss the events in the city.” Shown is Bobby with promotional flyers to distribute and the Free Press in his hand to promote the black press is in Duval County.
