Seasoned Legal Eagles Inspire College and High School Students to Legal Careers

A local Duval County judge, attorney and trial clerk participated in a mock trial with over 40 students from Edward Waters College and Ribault High School.  Edward Waters College Professor Ekee Ehrlich and her students drafted the script for the trial. During the actual trial, the students conducted themselves like seasoned attorneys and impressed the judges and attorneys who witnessed the mock trial.  The program’s goal is to expose the young legal eagles to the legal profession with insights as to how the criminal justice system works and the fundamentals of trial practice and familiarize them with the courtroom. Show l-r is EWC Professor Ekee Ehrlich, Judge Lester Bass, Trial Clerk India Ellison and Attorney Al Perkins.
