Robinson’s Celebrate 75th Wedding Anniversary

Roxwell  and Janie Robinson married September 12, 1944, renewed their wedding vows in a double-ring ceremony at St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church last weekend during  the morning worship service officiated by the Reverend Marvin C. Zanders, II.
The couple were escorted to the altar by their children joined by their spouses. The renewal ceremony included the Lords Prayer, sung by Jeanette Kittles, accompanied by Minister Marlowe Smith Afterwards, Pastor Zanders extended an opportunity for all married couples to renew their vows with prayer and dedication at the altar to which there was an overwhelming response.
The Wedding Reception Dinner for family and friends was held at the Grand Rose Ballroom located on the Southside.  The couple offered pre-printed individual advice for longevity in marriage and shared their love story and their life centered on raising and educating each of their children.
The Robinson children hosted the event for their parents as a loving tribute to their parents joined by family from around the country.
