Clarence Green, born August 16th, 1938 in Jacksonville, graduated from Old Stanton High school and retired in 1998 from the city’s Parks and Recreation department. Since retiring, Green has mentored countless youth in the community and neighborhood. Always in sync to live his best life, the octogenarian enjoys fishing and cherishes his backyard chats with his retiree friends about the ‘good old days!’ Green’s motto is, “to always treat people like you want to be treated; even a dog deserves to be treated with respect.” Since being widowed for many years, his favorite pastime is spending time with his only son and eight grandchildren.
