Thousands trekked 95-south headed to Music Fest Orlando held inside the Central Florida fairgrounds facilities. Vendors and community business leaders were in place to welcome festival goers from around the state. Headlining this year’s festival were R&B artists Babyface, Fantasia, Ceelo Green, Plies and Lyfe Jennings with DJ Demp and DJ Boweezy spinning the turntable sounds. Comedian and actor Rickey Smiley held court onstage introducing the acts and spreading his cheerful glee of laughter to the crowd! The annual premier music festival impacts the areas local business economically and provides a platform for local artists interested in furthering their careers (https://musicfestorlando.com). The festivals short-term goal is to include a scholarship component for students interested in the entertainment and production field. During the year festival staff, supporters and volunteer’s partner on local community activities, such as holiday food drives, back to school, civic and church events.
