Naturals Night Out was founded as an empowering, educational and beauty wellness event by REVLON Education Consultant Pat Grant Williams. This 10th ‘Naturals Night Out – Holiday Style’ event showcased natural hair in its crowning glory with holiday styles sponsored by Creme of Nature, holiday fashions from Dillards, Meow and Barks and Fourth and Jack Boutiques. Activities included ‘Hairversations,’ an interaction presentation with the audience to answer natural hair questions and natural hair demonstrations with product suggestions. Included in the agenda were beauty and wellness sessions, fashion show, naturalistas style-off competition, entertainment and vendors. Models showcased hair care products and hairstyles that can be worn for work, play and special events. Highlighting the event was the conversation on the ‘Crown Act,’ which stands for “Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair,” a law that prohibits race-based hair discrimination for the denial of employment or educational opportunities.  Standing tall in her natural crowning glory, Melanie Lawson, channel 4 JAX Anchor was saluted with the “Light and Love” honor for making a difference on camera naturally.
