Movie Director Mark Cayce is Back!

Movie Director Mark Cayce
Fresh from the BET Awards, motion picture director Marc Cayce is currently in Jacksonville, Florida, where this year he held court at the Cannes Film Festival in France, supporting fellow filmmaker Spike Lee during the premiere of his new movie, “Highest 2 Lowest,” starring Denzel Washington. Marc is in town collaborating with saxophonist Aaron Bing as they coordinate the final touches on their latest feature film release, “BlackSkin.” Set against Minneapolis’s tumultuous struggle with police violence, the movie presents a gripping narrative directed by the acclaimed Marc Cayce, known for his compelling and thought-provoking films. The film’s score is composed by Jacksonville’s visionary music producer and composer, Aaron Bing.

“BlackSkin” boasts a star-studded cast featuring Miguel A. Nunez Jr. (from BET’s “The Family Business” and “Juwanna Mann”), Duane Finley (from “The Wood” and “Kings of L.A.”), and Cocoa Brown (from “The Wood” and “Kings of L.A.”), all lending their remarkable talents to this impactful production. The film is set to be released this fall on Amazon Prime and Tubi.

Additionally, Aaron Bing and Marc Cayce have made the “BlackSkin” Motion Picture Soundtrack available on Apple Music, Spotify, Google Music, and all other music streaming platforms. Among the standout tracks is “Woke” by the Grammy Award-winning group Sounds of Blackness, which delivers a compelling narrative. Another notable song is “Turn U,” featuring a soft, appealing melody by Aaron Bing and Krishawna, which provides a potent transition that mirrors the film’s shifting tones.
