With the support of over 225 vendors at the Melanin Market Juneteenth Celebration, thousands of revelers from around the state and beyond trekked to the eastside of Jacksonville for the 6th annual cultural consumer festival encouraging patrons to buy black! The festival covered over five blocks of A Phillip Randolph Boulevard for the day’s events that included live entertainment, selfie bingo raffle and vendor perusal. With temperatures in the high 90’s, festival goers enjoyed on-site vendors for food and other relief. During the year, the Melanin Market engages small businesses by providing access to resources and training facilitated by subject matter experts while providing creative place-making outlets for community fellowship.
