Knights of Peter Claver Forum Allow Youthful Voices on Covid to Be Heard

The Knights of Peter Claver Monsignor Walter Darcy Ladies’ Auxiliary Court 335 recently presented, “Hear Our Voices on the Coronavirus Pandemic.”  The virtual presentation featured a diverse group of professional panelists including the National Executive Director of the KPC, Mr. Grant Jones, politicians, educators, churches, health care/social workers and attorneys who crafted questions for students  who voiced candid responses as to how the Coronavirus pandemic has impacted and altered their mental, spiritual, social and physical qualities of life at home, school, church, and in  the community.  Moderator Rahman Johnson gave a special tribute to youth who have passed away from Covid.  Participants received a gift of comfort snacks and anti-stress related items, while enjoying music videos, trivia questions and door prizes. In spite of their lives being altered, the students spoke honestly on maintaining their faith, steadfastness and strength for their daily encounters.
The Knights of Peter Claver, Inc. and Ladies Auxiliary is an international Catholic fraternal service order and is also the largest and oldest extant Black Catholic lay-led organization overall. .
