Historic Mt Zion kicked off their 154th Church Anniversary celebration on Sunday, July 26, 2020 which led up to the historic anniversary date of August 23, 1866.
In Duval County, Mt. Zion is under the leadership of Pastor Victor and Lady Maria Cole. He is a seasoned Pastoral Care Provider beginning the ministry in 1999 and appointed to his first Church in May 2002. He served in two of six conferences of the Eleventh Episcopal District. Cole has seventeen years of Pastorship in Duval.
The month long celebration included virtual church services, Wednesday in the Word bible studies, and youth and senior recognition’s.
Culminating the virtual celebration was speaker Associate Pastor Dr. Thomas Calhoun delivering a powerful sermon reminiscing and honoring 154 years of praise and worship in Jacksonville, Florida.
