Hands on Hilltop Yields Summer Transportation and Nourishment

While the Hilltop Apartment community has been in the news for its high profile rodent infestation, the community has continued to rally around supporting its residents – including its youth. Recently the Duval County Public School (DCPS) district hosted a free drive-by/walk-up “We Love You” luncheon for district families in the Hilltop Village Apartments. The event included a COVID-19 vaccination bus in addition to prizes and giveaways.  Farmshare provided the food and students also received bus passes from Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) to assist with transportation to look for employment. “These items are necessary for the students to engage in summer activities and be productive.  We want them to know that the village cares,” said Sonya Duke-Bolden.
