Jax native and NFL Hall of Famer LeRoy Butler and the Jacksonville Police Athletic League (JaxPAL) hosted their 2nd annual Leap Football and Cheer Camp, on the grounds of Ed Austin Regional Park in Arlington. The camp empowered hundreds of children and youth from ages seven to seventeen to learn fundamental athletic principles from National Football League players and talents through empowerment, athletic training, skilled tests, and opportunity to play in a 7on7 game. A former NFL football strong safety, LeRoy Butler spent his entire career with the Green Bay Packers. He helped lead the team to win Super Bowl XXI, and in 2022, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
