The 14th Annual Goodwill Striving to Succeed Luncheon boasted more than 650 community leaders eagerly awaiting the celebrity fashion show and yearly awards. But the real stars of the day were the three Goodwill Achievers of the Year – Kevin Aiken, Liz Fiorentino and Deatta Simmons. Videos played out their stories on large screens, explaining the struggles they each went through to put their lives back on track with the help of Goodwill services. Achievers of the Year were greeted with a standing ovation when they came to the stage showing that despite your circumstances, you can success against the odds.
