Family and Friends Celebrate Bishop Lorenzo Hall 67 Years of Cheers

When Bishop Lorenzo Hall calls you come running! For more than twenty year, Bishop Hall has been active in the community serving the Blodgett Homes community and beyond.  At least once a month, he hosts a variety of services including free food, health care information and support from local attorneys to expunge criminal records, housing information and more.

In honor of his 67th birthday, hundreds of family, friends, colleagues and neighbors roasted and toasted the beloved bishop inside the Scottish Rites Cathedral in Springfield. Local dignitaries stood at the podium and spoke on Bishops tenacity to get the job done, his free spirit and willingness to help the underserved community.

Bishop Hall, a Jacksonville native graduated from Andrew Jackson High school received his Doctorate degree in Divinity at Jacksonville Theological Seminary in 2003. For 47 years, Bishop has been pastor inside his beloved mother’s church, the Greater El-Bethel-El Divine Holiness Church and retired from Merita Bakery as the first American department head in Jacksonville and the state of Florida.  “This has been the best birthday ever. Wow I was surprised at who showed up and showed out,” said Hall.
