Duval County Public Schools Answer Key for the week of January 27

Tuesday, Jan. 28

  • SURPRISE — Andrew Robinson Elementary to receive fleet of bikes to teach students how to ride and bike safely — We invite media to this special event, but please don’t spoil the surprise. Thanks to a partnership with the All Kids Bike foundation, Andrew Robinson Elementary will receive a fleet of Strider Bicycles that will be available to help teach students how to safely ride a bike. The surprise will be announced during a special ceremony that includes a presentation on bike safety and helmet fittings. Media is invited to attend the unveiling of the bike fleet at 11:00 AM at the school.  Please RSVP with Sonya Duke-Bolden at duke-bolden@duvalschools.org.

 

Friday, Jan. 31

  • Deadline for School Choice applications — The deadline to submit a magnet or Special Transfer Option application for the 2025-26 school year is Friday, Jan. 31.  The applications are located in the parents FOCUS account. We encourage all families to visit our School Choice webpage to learn more about the application process.

 

Saturday, Feb. 1

  • Douglas Anderson to host its annual Arts Extravaganza — Douglas Anderson School of the Arts will host its annual performing and visual arts student showcase; “Extravaganza: Reverie.” The showcase will feature a visual arts exhibit, as well as performances by dance majors, vocalists, theater performers, musicians and more. The event will take place at the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts – Moran Theater. The Visual Arts Gallery Exhibit opens at 6 p.m. And theater performances begin at 7 p.m.
