Diner En Blanc Tradition Continues to Wow Local Foodies

From set-up to sundown, hundreds of  foodies and and lovers of style engaged in Jacksonville’s 5th edition of Le Diner En Blanc – Parisian inspired event. The St. Johns River behind Baptist hospital served as the backdrop for the all white affair held in a mystery location. Adhering to the dress code, all guests must be dressed elegantly in white attire.

Described as “the most chic event on the globe,” Le Diner En Blanc brings together old and new friends to dine, dance and laugh in elegance. The concept of Le Dîner En Blanc spans over 30 years and is recreated all over the world in over 80 cities at different times throughout the year. Guests enjoy a localized experience but take part in Dîner En Blanc traditions that include the napkin wave, champagne toast and lighting up the night sky with the sparklers.

Le Diner en Blanc started in Paris, France, in 1988 with a simple idea; to gather friends and friends of friends for a night of good conversation, food , and wine in  n iconic setting. Today, there are over 80 of the creative dinners led throughout the world.  From Perth and Orlando to Atlanta and St. Maarten, Le Diner En Blanc continue to enchant attendee with 17,000 guests guests participating worldwide.
