By Lynn Turpin – Standing on the steps of the federal courthouse, 33 dapper men of Duval stood tall and ready to tackle today’s injustices against the black power structure. Darryl Moore a local businessman and brainchild of the photo-op executed the coordination and picture opportunity for the men to showcase and spread the word that all black men are not tied up in a courtroom where murder is the case. When the men received the call, they excitedly searched through their closets for their best suit, combed their coiffed Afros and topped it off with some stylish haberdashery. “We want the community to know that standing on the courthouse steps is not negative. We are black men taking the lead to restore integrity to the Black man’s name,” said Gabriel Rozier. The Dapper Duval gentlemen plan to collaborate in business/entrepreneur mentorships, scholarships for high school seniors and researching bias court cases. Rozier’s nonprofit Black Men Walking will spearhead the collaboration. The four year old organization is also instrumental in helping black men with gaining custody of their children, child care, time sharing, visitation, establishing paternity, suit drives and college student mentoring. The organization’s annual events include their annual Black Men Walking gala honoring men that volunteer and mentor in the Duval community.  Shown are the Duval Dapper gentlemen top of stairs l – r: Darryl Moore and Arminius Patterson and standing l-r is Gabriel Roziers, Vernon Edwards, Dante Jennings, Kenneth Covington, Stanley Platts II, Jay Harris, Tyrone Lennon,  Meachum Clarke, Curtis Johnson,  Ray Larry, Trey Carnes, Carlos Williams, Armain Harris Sr., Terrance Pender, Rickey Smith, Kyle Wright, Sidney Drake, Frederick D.
