Community Clean-Up Highlights Alpha’s Anniversary

The Sigma Pi Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. celebrated the third anniversary of their chapter chartering by beautifying Clay County. Under the leadership of member James Wesley, the chapter has partnered with the Florida Department of Transportation to maintain a two mile stretch of US Highway 17. This service project culminated a week of activities that included a social, a Brotherhood Smoke at Unique Soul Food and Cigar Lounge and a family picnic. “We are our communities,” said member Jabari Jones. The Sigma Pi Lambda chapter was chartered on July 27, 2019 to provide service to Clay, St. Johns, and Duval counties.
