The Jacksonville Urban League Economic, Community Development Foundation and Wells Fargo hosted the tenth anniversary celebration of the Wells Fargo Historic Springfield Community Learning Center. The Center serves as a hub for a diverse group of organizations including, employers, schools, and nonprofits that use the facility to promote small business development, financial literacy, home ownership, and job skills training in the community.
“The Jacksonville Urban League is proudly celebrating 75 years and a partnership of 10 years with Wells Fargo in giving back to the community,” said Dr. Richard Danford Jr., President of the Jacksonville Urban League. Elected officials, local nonprofits, small business owners and residents located in or serving the Springfield community, including leaders from Wells Fargo participated in the event.
Since 2012, the Center has met more than 100,000 Jacksonville community needs and served 400-plus local organizations. Shown are members Leanne Moss and Edith Jackson enjoying the celebration.
