Churches Remain on The Front Line of Benevolence

In the past, African American churches have been at the forefront of the fight for justice and equality. For Blacks, the church has not only been a source of inspiration, but a resource for assisting families and catalyst for community revitalization. While some churches have chosen to focus solely on saying souls, others continue to embrace their roles as community stewards.

Heaven of Destiny Church is one of those institutions that strive to provide help to all through both inspirational services and community outreach.

This past Saturday, the church held services in their parking lot on Lem Turner Road with the goal of engaging the public by offering free food, drinks and motivating scripture.  Shown serving free food to the community are Heaven of Destiny church members ready to serve.
