By Lynn JonesTurpin – Distributing gifts this holiday season may be a challenge for local organizations, nonprofits and churches as they abide social distancing guidelines. To spread holiday cheer, the “Live Long and Like it Club,” held a gifting drive through for club members. Due to the pandemic, the club has not held a monthly meeting since March when the state was put on a
state wide lockdown. In honor of their 15th annual Christmas luncheon, this year club members distributed gift bags and fresh fruit delivered to their car. Dozens of cars circled the All Peoples Church on Edgewood for a cheerful good tidings meet and greet. “Since we living long and liking it, we have to make sure our club members are here with us too,” said club president, Reverend Bettye Pittman.
