Members of the Bold City (FL) Chapter of Links celebrated their organization’s most important ceremony last weekend with the induction of seven new members to their friendship chain. Following the completion of a four month process, new members Lisa Moore, Shamika Baker, Tia Leathers, Jannet Ford, Imani Hope, Tracee Holzendorf and Ivy Archer celebrated with their new Links sisters from both the Bold City and Jacksonville Chapters at the Epping Forrest Yacht Club last weekend.

Chartered in 1993, the Bold City (FL) Chapter has served the northeast Florida area for nearly twenty-five years meeting the needs of the community and the underserved through empowerment, engagement and education. One of 284 Chapters in The Links, Incorporated, an international women’s service organization, chapters flourish in communities throughout the nation and beyond by providing “transformational” service.

The Bold City Chapter is comprised of 46 accomplished women of color representing diverse professions and resources who work collectively for service through friendship. Currently under the leadership of Chapter President Pamela Prier, the programmatic thrust has a holistic emphasis encompassing all facets of the community. The award winning chapter’s two plus decades of diverse service have included everything from etiquette classes and leadership academies for youth to health symposiums, exposure to the arts and career symposiums – all of which have been provided free to the community.

“I was inducted into Linkdom with six amazing women, surrounded by love and friendship. Though the ceremony and venue were simply amazing, the hearts of these women filled the room and God was in the midst,” said Ivy Archer reflecting on the weekend.
