Blue Crab Enthusiast Climb to the Top of the Barrel for Annual Fest

The annual Blue Crab Festival in Palatka took place over Memorial Day weekend and featured live music, family activities, and, of course, plenty of seafood. The Blue Crab Festival is held every Memorial Day weekend along the riverfront in Palatka, Florida, in remembrance of the members of the U.S. military who died while serving our country. This year’s Blue Crab Festival also featured carnival rides, a seafood cook-off, live music, arts and crafts, and much more.

For the first time, the festival was organized and executed by the Palatka Young Professionals group. Local TV celebrity Henny! served as the hostess and introduced the local bands performing under the stage positioned near the St. Johns River. Food, good times, live music was on display all weekend long and until midnight each night. The highlight was for visitors to enjoy lots of fresh seafood that included a bevy of shrimp, crabs (including blue crab), scallops and more.
