Rodeo fans sold out the third annual Jacksonville Invitational Black Rodeo held at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center on the Westside. The indoor Championship Arena was filled with thousands of spectators eager to celebrate Black cowboy history and culture. Presented by Black Rode USA, the annul rodeo provides a cultural and educational experience about the role African Americans played in shaping the history of the West, while giving youth a hands-on experience with sportsmanship, equestrianism and agriculture. Organizers say they will be back next year.
