Black Businesses Collaborate for a Unique Shop and Dine Experience

When two businesses come together to collaborate for a common purpose, that partnership enables each organization to achieve a common purpose.

This past weekend, local bath and body store Jones & Rose hosted a Sunday evening “Holiday Sip and Shop” event. The affair showcased the organizers natural based beauty products and enabled shoppers to shop for the first portion of the evening and then stroll next door to a newly opened restaurant by Chef Richard Robinson, the Pink Salt Restaurant, for a buffet dinner.

Held on the Southside, the sold-out event showcased black owned businesses, local entertainment and fine dining.

Pink Salt Catering menu included spicy Jamaican Cuisines of roasted vegetables, pork Florentine and herb roasted chicken with raspberry mimosas to wet the palate.  “The excitement of  guest shopping and dining at the same time was the key to this event.  The prepared cuisine highlighted favorite infused Caribbean style dishes that made an impression on the guests to enjoy flavorable cuisine from the islands here in Jax.”  said Chef Robinson.

Collaborations with Chef Robinson and partnerships among the two are planned for the future.
