More than 600+ children and youth from grades K-12 picked up free backpacks stuffed with school supplies at the annual Bethel Baptist Institutional Church (BBIC) giveaway. This annual event is hosted to support students in their school readiness by providing the needed tools to promote success in learning.

Families came out for a fun day with a DJ, bounce house obstacle course, games, prizes, snacks, food trucks and more.  Community agencies and groups were also on campus to share valuable resource information with participants. To promote reading readiness, free books were available from the BBIC Book Drive. Senior Pastor, Bishop Rudolph McKissick, Jr., led the visionary efforts of connecting church and community through supporting local children and youth. “We are excited to see all families who need a little extra support to jump start their school year,” said BBIC Bishop Rudolph McKissick, Jr.
